Junta de Freguesia

A freguesia is a subdivision of the municipality. This is the Freguesia of Oeiras office building at downtown Oeiras.

What a colorful, decorative building!

Those walls are the most gorgeous red-rust color! And, the white scroll details and flying flags make the building memorable.

Beautiful building. Looks like it would be a great apartment building but just offices. MB

We call them 'circoscrizioni', but none of ours has such an elegant building.

I love the trim over those balcony windows.

Beautiful picture. This building reminds me of Goa, where you see Portuguese style everywhere.

The building is such a rich shade of bronze/red! Love the frames around the windows and the decorative trim above each one.

I must confess that I didn't know the meaning of "freguesia". And even in my home town there's a district called "Freguesia do Ó"... :)
God bless you!

Like the others, I absolutely love the color of the building and the white accents, the wrought iron and of course, the flags! Terrific! Marvelous capture as always, JM!

With that color of the building, I would have guessed that it was in Mexico, except the trim above the windows is a European flair and would not be expected in the so-called "new world."

Very attractive...it's close to the color of our house. Nice composition with those flags more-or-less waving in the air!
