Red Lips

Pena Palace entranceway, Sintra
Some lady visitor thought this guy looked too pale and decided to brighten him up with her lipstick...

Oi, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
That took a lot of chutspah.

I like this, but I'm uncomfortable. In some ways, it is like yesterday's post . . . a defacement. The artist didn't intend red lips. So, does a passer-by have the right to change it?

Luckily it will wash off and if it's anything like my lipstick, within a matter of minutes. Well spotted and photographed.

LOL! But still scary!

That's a fearsome face, but definitely not as scary with the lipstick!

Ai, miséria do mundo! Há por aí gente que não respeita nada!
No castelo de Cambord que visitei no mês passado, até gravaram nomes e não sei que mais nas pedras do interior do castelo!

I wasn't sure whether to giggle or frown! Hate to see works like this defaced, but he does look funny with red lips! Whatever -- you got a great shot as always, JM!

Nice color on the lipstick:)
AND a nice photo!

If I get the spirit of the place right, this wouldn't hurt it too much. The figure is excellent in its simplicity with or without lipstick!

Like jennyfeckles I thought he looked like a clown. Just not as creepy. Also continue to enjoy your Decay series. Seems like nothing here is built to last, and so many structures there endure despite time and neglect.

At least it was just his lips and not his nose.
