What a lovely place to walk, JM! Love the stone work would love to know the history! New constructions seem to be moving in on just about everything these days.
@Jacob: I'm sure this must have been a farm; very few have survived the 'progress' in the region. All forts are on the shoreline and, if you are in the city center, this is opposite to the sea.
The way you've angled the image, JM, it looks like a peaceful place. But why is it I suspect that right over that neat old wall the modern world would stare back at you? ;-)
Tou a reconhecer o local, tenho a certeza que já passei ai, mas agora mentalmente não estou a consegui-lo localizá-lo geograficamente, onde foi tirada esta foto?
I like the randomness of the lines in the walkway and how the grass has overgrown. Nice wall too. Will this be destroyed by the new construction? If so, that is very sad.
I can see why this would be a favorite place to walk and relax and of course take pictures. An old farm you say----sad when 'progress' rolls over everything. MB

I agree with Jack, looks like a great place. Love the path.
I can see why it is a favorite place for you.
A cobbled jewel, I hope it wouldn't be lost!
I never tire of Portuguese stonework--on the walls or the walkways...
Wonderful. That looks like a great place to explore with your camera!
Off the beaten track is my motto. I love going places that not many people go. This path looks like one of those places. I'd love following it.
I hope they do not knock this down for a new construction, It looks a lovely place. Diane
That looks so beautiful. Personally I like old things, old people...
This appears to be a wall of an old fort ... yes? Must be a wonderful place to wander about and take photos!
And this photo is very well composed and the color (esp. the sky) are super!
