'Shot', a very eclectic market, took place at Ribeiro da Cunha Palace yesterday. This decayed 19th century building in Lisbon has been the location for movie shootings and some private parties too. Check it here.
I wouldn't know whether to look at what's for sale or to look at the gorgeous building. Looks like you did a little of both. That floor is spectacular!
Your second shot is an awesome one...simply stunning with all of those gorgeous tiles on the floor. The perspective of it is superb. Would love to have been there in person to shop and to just look and take pictures.
Beautiful building. I love the reservoir in the preceding post as well. Didn't see either in my visit, but you can never see all of a city in a few days. It's nice to have a reason to come back.
I appreciate Lisbon much more now that I've been there. It's truly a lovely city, and I think underappreciated.

Whoa! That absolutely does NOT look like what I was expecting for a market picture! What a beautiful building. No wonder it has been used in the movies etc... gorgeous pictures -- you found some great angles for shooting there!

What a great place for a market! I have probably been there on one of my relatives' whirlwind tours of Lisbon! As I've said before, one day I will go alone and not tell them and have a blast enjoying whatever nooks and crannies and interesting spaces I want to spend time in!

JM, this is a wonderfully grand place. It is an odd place for a market, but I am glad it is being used and enjoyed.
This is "over the top" in terms of a market... Exquisite palace with a floor tile design that looks like fine rugs, beautifully photographed!

Like a flea market, right? I've been to a ton of those but never have seen anything like this...it's a market in a palace!

I'll never look at our market in quite the same way; the setting overpowers the wares being sold! I'd be more likely to examine the building.
