The bottom shot is terrific, the seats and the people add a mosaic of their own.
I bet I would have enjoyed that immensely! Happy Sunday JM!
Wow, what a setting for a market. I'd never get around too looking at what people are selling!
JM, this is a wonderfully grand place. It is an odd place for a market, but I am glad it is being used and enjoyed.
This is "over the top" in terms of a market... Exquisite palace with a floor tile design that looks like fine rugs, beautifully photographed!Bises,Genie
Such an elegant place for a market!
I wouldn't know whether to look at what's for sale or to look at the gorgeous building. Looks like you did a little of both. That floor is spectacular!
Your second shot is an awesome one...simply stunning with all of those gorgeous tiles on the floor. The perspective of it is superb. Would love to have been there in person to shop and to just look and take pictures.
Gostei desta perspectiva elevadaAbraço
Like a flea market, right? I've been to a ton of those but never have seen anything like this...it's a market in a palace!
I would love it, both market and building!
Beautiful building. I love the reservoir in the preceding post as well. Didn't see either in my visit, but you can never see all of a city in a few days. It's nice to have a reason to come back.I appreciate Lisbon much more now that I've been there. It's truly a lovely city, and I think underappreciated. PS Glad you enjoyed my post! It's good to hear from someone who lives nearby.
Whoa! That absolutely does NOT look like what I was expecting for a market picture! What a beautiful building. No wonder it has been used in the movies etc... gorgeous pictures -- you found some great angles for shooting there!
what a setting for a market. i love what you've caught in the mirror in the first shot, and the soaring perspective in the second.
A beautiful and elegant spot for a market. I would go there just to be there. MB
What a beautiful place , i posted recently a photo with the same title funny ;)http://babzyphotosblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/saturday-morning-at-market.html
I'll never look at our market in quite the same way; the setting overpowers the wares being sold! I'd be more likely to examine the building.
Esse mercado é maravilhoso e adorei as duas fotos!Léia
What a great place for a market! I have probably been there on one of my relatives' whirlwind tours of Lisbon! As I've said before, one day I will go alone and not tell them and have a blast enjoying whatever nooks and crannies and interesting spaces I want to spend time in!I love the Venus on the half-shell!
Not seeing decay here... just a wonderful space for a market. Stunning floor mosaics.
