What a great spot for a party. Love the imace of the beach with the water and sand, all the people, and the grass umbrellas. Add to that what almost looks like a space age flying machine and you have the makings of a really cool and striking shot. genie
This is quite a scene! It's very 21st century. Couldn't quite detect a cooling system, but there must be one there. I wonder what it's like, eating and enjoying the scenery right at the edge of the water?!
I hope you can get another photo of the "A list" guests and VIPS arriving for the fancy Nancy party in that glass "tent!" What a concept! You might have to use your CDP media pass for this one...
Well, that does look like quite a party!!! And what a gorgeous location! Love the old fort in the background! Terrific as always, JM! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Oh JM, this is the best invitation to Oeiras yet! How did i miss your place when I was in the peninsula for years! I see these bubble tents here too but not on the beach like this! Breathtaking picture!
I wondered if this was a permanent installation and then read your comment about it being a tent.
I'm sorry you weren't invited to the party. That always happens to me, too. I don't understand it. I shower every day! Sheesh!
Quite an operation, though. And that dinner party won't be cheap. Maybe it's a wedding reception? I'm not sure I'd want to sit in there looking at all those flabby bodies laying out in the sand. That might send me straight to the fort! :-)
What will they think of next? I like the fort...the dinner party seems a bit pretentious. That fort reminds me a smidge of the walled city of Dubrovnik in Croatia....one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
Both those images are so fantastical JM. What an amazing idea to construct such a huge bubble for a dinner and to think of putting it as futuristic as it is in that spot next to the ancient fort. some people are just so incredibly creative.
I've never seen anything like this! And in such a location. To have the modern and innovative structure against the ancient fort is startling. I wish in reality we could make such a leap globally; filled with a lightness of being out of the heaviness of the past...

This is new to me, I don't know how to digest it. It's like you are at the beach but not on the beach.
Makes a great photo!
Esse restaurante é maravilhoso, imagine a vista!
Eu esqueceria até de comer, com essa praia e mar maravilhoso em frente!
Abraços

@Léia: This is not a restaurant, it's just a tent set up for the occasion. I have no idea about who was giving the party... I was not invited! LOL!
What wonderful shots. Do you suppose it gets very hot in there?

What a beautiful setting! I have never seen a tent quite like that one.
I have never seen a tent make of clear material like this. It's just stunning! Guests can enjoy the food, the view, and the stars!

Oh JM I cannot believe you weren't invited! :-) I'm trying to imagine a grand wedding... So it's tower beach?

impressive view , beautiful place for a party :)
I like the juxtaposition of these pictures. Old versus new. Order vs. randomness. Well seen.
I wonder how much the rent of this tent costs.
Enjoy your weekend.

An amazing structure and a sharp contrast between the new and the old. I absolutely love the place, with or without tent!
What a magnificent setting for a dinner party!!
What a place for a party!!! It would feel odd to be in party clothes inside that cage while others are in swimsuits outside.
BTW, I checked my image and that was a chipmunk on the crossbeam. I didn't even see it when I was shooting.
@Jacob and Jack: It was a dinner party, the beach is empty at night! :-)))
How elegant! I guess it protects the guests from the weather and sand, but isn't that why you go to the beach?
Quite unique and a good idea.
Not too hot I hope.(?)
Hmmm... I get why people would want to eat in a bubble, but not sure I like it myself. Fabulous setting, though.
Não me tinha apercebido de nenhum jantar na praia da Torre

I have never seen a tent like this one. Thanks for showing it.
Um contraste da arquitetura moderna com a medieval. Parece um bom programa, bem interessante.
Looks like a great place for a party!
That is a very swish tent. Would not want to be in a party inside during the day ... would be like a hot house in there.
Loved your comment about photographing the weeds ... you have no idea how many shots I took of that big dandelion.
Imagine being in there with the rain beating down and the sea raging!

Fantastic place for a reception and a great facility.
