In response to Ciel, I think what I see is a hanging embroidered tapestry and a portion of a lacquer divider with inlaid bone figures. Interesting that the display in Lisbon chose the Chinese part of the Macao heritage instead of the Portuguese... although of course you could have seen both. :-)

Such an intricated design JM, oriental artworks can be so beautiful.
Gorgeous tapestry!
What a beautiful place and your capture of the tapestry and colors as well as the figures is gorgeous! Hope your weekend is off to a good start, JM!

Looks like an interesting exhibit. I envy how often you visit museums (have I already told you that?!).
Lovely to see such intricate work being shared with others.
Those figures are incredible!
I'm not sure what I'm seeing here other than beauty! It looks like they are hanging in mid air...
One more reason to come back to Lisboa (should I need any).
such an eerie effect...as if their spirits are hovering.
It must be a wonderful museum! The figures are amazing.
Splendid image of a great subject!
I'm much interested in these collections. Curators in the Lisbon museum must have a keen eye for beauty. Thank you for sharing !
The tapestry is wonderful. It bears repeated looks.
Wonderful image of Oriental Motive !
