The shape of the buildings in the background is quite unique. I wonder if this is a residential or industrial area?

@Kate: It's a residential area.

everything looks so precarious here...as if any of it might tip over at any moment.

Pretty slick residence, I like the angles and I bet there are some great views.

It might be cool with an ND filter and a long shutter to get the water to blur.

I like the angularity in this picture, along with the color in the rusty structures.

No centro do Rio de Janeiro há um edifício parecido, com estes recortes, que é o da Petrobrás.

Strange and unusual, they did it on purpose? I guess not...

Looks like a fab place to live - Love that fountain/pond!

Unknown said...

@VP: Yes, they did it on purpose. This is a new park and, actually, I saw some of the rusty metal pieces being put together.

The rust colour and the blue just just pop. A very unusual scene but I like it.

For a new one, it's a striking one, and the contrast with the buildings is striking too!

Another lovely image...

What wonderful, saturated colors! And fantastic angles here...the building is sort of a blue "reflection" of the rusty metal work in the pond. Strange-looking building, though! Scary! What's holding up those sections jetting out into nowhere?

Gosto da perspectiva, abraço

What I find interesting about this is that it reflects a modern world that lives alongside all the unbelievable historic buildings you show.
