America's Cup 2011 (II)

When the sunday race was over, the filming crews in the helicopters decided to have some fun by teasing the spectators on the beaches of Cascais with some 'risky' manoeuvres pretty close to them. However, I didn't manage to get a proper shot of the 'aerobatics'... :-)

Great beach scene JM, that helicopter does look pretty low, what was the outcome of the race or hasn't it totally finished yet? I really should listen to the sports news a bit more!!

les gens font la fete aux bateaux, on dirait une photo sortie d'un film

@Perth: August 14 will be the last day of the competition.

I would not want to be in the crowd with helicopters swooping down low over the crowd.

Os helicópteros provocam ondas incríveis, principalmente curtidas por quem está no mar :)

I need to get out of London now.

What a beautiful day! But, I have to agree with Dave, I would want to be too close to a helicopter doing risky things.

No of course this isn't a proper shot, there isn't even a helicopter! :-)

A lovely moment to witness...
and share.

The big boats make for better shots all around, if you ask me.

I think just riding in the helicopter is a risky business! Great shot, JM. Outstanding colors and very sharp - as usual! I'll bet everyone had a great time!

This must have been an exciting event to watch, JM, and to photograph.
