"Miracoco"

"... a dazzling maze of winding paths and soaring domes where Islamic architecture, Archimedean solids and Gothic cathedrals meld into an inspiring monument to the beauty of light and colour" by Alan Parkinson of Architects of Air (check the previous post).

Very impressive, JM! I like the angle you took it too. It makes a very nice composition.

(Is it a baloon?)

@Eki: Yes, I think you can call it a balloon. :-)

Very strange.

I would have never guessed that I would ever admit plastic as art. These are sure creative!

Interesting how you've captured the cross in the first image, a real contrast between old and modern.

This is just amazing. I so wish I was there to see it in person.

I noticed that cross too - it makes it look like a cathedral. I think I like these better on the inside than the outside. I hope they were well-tethered. There was a case in UK where someone got injured (maybe even killed, I can't remember now) when an installation broke loose from its ropes when they were inside.

It's an amazing structure! The first photo with the cross is really interesting, and I entirely agree with Francisca!

A wonderful concept... looks like a fantastic place to visit as long as it's tied down well.

Why do these things remind me so much of women's breasts? Never mind, I probably don't want an answer. But they do. Quite incredible, really! Beautiful photos, as usual!

Re eternal flames: I agree with you - it's very sad. And I also find sad the fact that so many national monuments glorify war and warring leaders. It does not bode well and I don't think we will ever learn!

Re Spanish moss: It is awful stuff. I think it tends to kill the trees although one tree trimmer disagreed with me. But I'd still try to pull it off our oak trees at our old Ocala house...it is sticky and messy and itchy!

Amazing,great work!

The inside is psychedelic, to be sure, but the outside is just odd. I do like the first photo, with the cross, because of the surprising combination of shapes.

RedPat said...

Quite bizarre from the outside! I wish I was there.

These are amazing pieces of art. I would have never had guessed the outer part would look like this.

Don't pay any attention to Jacob, JM. Everything reminds him of women's breasts.

These structures are fascinating. From yesterday's photos, I did not predict what today's post would be about.

Wow so unexpected. I don't know what I expected but certainly not this.
