Is anyone ever swept over the fence by these tides?

How much you love the sea ... you can even see seasons in it.

Great fun as long as you hold on tight.

Oh - that looks like fun!

Funny, but quite dangerous. We had several deaths this year for waves like these. Mostly non-native, scarcely acquainted with the dangers of a rough sea...

Looks like a dangerous route to take along the sea wall. Beautiful but ominous!

This would frighten me but, from a safe distance I'd be snapping photos. I hope those young men were holding on tight.

Oh my JM that looks just a little scary, is that a normal thing for the tides to be so high!

VP answered my question. It looks like fun but it is also frightening.

Impressive, JM! I'll bet one could easily get washed away without the railing! The sea is so powerful!

The pull of the moon on the tides and another cycle of seasons goes round. I don't think I've ever seen such powerful waves without there being a storm. Great drama in these images!

That looks a little scary to me!

Really nicely captured, well done!

Fun but scary. I've seen waves rip the top right off a fence like that back when I lived in Holland.

Pretty, but I'm glad that's not MY son down there.

Wow , are these people in danger ? !!!

I swear I can hear that surf and feel the spray! Great mosaic.

This looks like the Pacific Coast off Oregon. When we first went to the East Coast (USA) we thought the Atlantic was incredibly calm, didn't look like an ocean to us at all.

I'll bet that was chilly! Fun shots.

Reminds me of the high tides in Saint Malo. Fantastic shots.

Is this typical for the equinox? I'm astounded that these people could remain standing (but then they are much younger).

It seems they are taking some exciting risks, non?
Bon weekend, JM!

Wow! It looks scary, but tempting :)

They seem to be enjoying it. I'd rather see the photos than stand in the way of the waves!
