Fascinating to find something like that JM and wonder how long it has been there. I have never heard of a Ruddy Turnstone before, he's so nice, I love birds, nice shot.
An interesting find. When I was growing up, I used to go fossil hunting all the time. I haven't done that since I've lived in Arizona. This is a wonderful specimen.
That is indeed a fascinating find, JM! Terrific capture, too! How wonderful to be able to discover one like that!! Hope your week is off to a great start!
Yeah, I'm also amazed that no one finds a way to cart the fossils away (illegally). Nice that the paleontologists leave some fossils in the wild for explorers like you, JM.

Did you just find that fossil, on your own?!
It is very beautiful and exciting to see such treasures.
Yes, Dina, it's on a rocky area full of fossils where I go quite often but I haven't spotted this one before.
It's a beauty and you photographed it well with detail and a wonderful tone to the "sand" and fossil.
belle decouverte, cela rend bien ce squelette d'oiseau.

Gosto da Arqueologia e das marcas do tempo e do vento. Belas e preciosas fotos.
Neat that your have these on the shoreline. I suspect there are some interesting macro subjects there :-)
Nice find, JM. I never find things like this. Probably because I don't spend much time looking down.
um trabalho bem interessante
Wow, I would never have imagined that a fossil can be found on these shores... Quite impressive!

A wonderful discovery ...and a lovely image of it.
You know I love bird images.. a beauty.
Great pictures, I like the brown reddish background...
Wonderful fossils. I still have some that we found as children in the mountains... Great shot of Mr. Ruddy as I imagine he was moving at a quick clip!

What a great find!
Wow ... I find fossils very fascinating. I have never seen any in situ, just pieces in the rock shop,
Beautiful texture in your photo. Are you allowed to dig out the fossils? The temptation would be hard to resist.

I'll be darned! Is this kind of thing protected? Perhaps it's not all that old...Could you, if you wanted, did it out and take it home?
That shell fossil is a beauty.
