I like the benches - for those that want to get wet without standing. I like the 'H' pattern in the railing too. Hopefully, the camera didn't get too wet.
The lengths we go to for a great picture, well actually you are way braver than I JM, I'm a scaredy cat as far as water is concerned. Fabulous shots of nature at it's strongest.
You really caught the ocean in motion there! Love the play of sunlight and the choice of black and white on the top 2. Glad both you and your camera survived to tell the tale...
Oh, these are terrific captures, JM, and that is a crazy, wild tide! I was thinking the same thing as Dina! Hope your camera is OK! And, yes, the sacrifices one makes for art! Love it! Hope your weekend is going well! Stay dry!
My first thought was that those people should go to the higher level. I didn't think until the third photo that you must be at the same spot.
Upon seeing the third photo, my first, completely instinctive thought was that I hope your camera did not get wet. My second thought was that I hope you did not get too wet.
That's scary and so funny. You just didn't think it would come get you, right? I saw photos of a guy running along Lake Michigan in Chicago...the waves washed over him, knocked him down and he got up and kept running. Same thing again. He got up and kept running. Some people never learn!
You could very well be right about the poster being part of the 'Inside Out' project, Jose. I did not know of this project. However, having scrolled through the portraits online, especially the ones that are pasted up in the real world, I suspect you are right. In which case, I know of a few other portraits around my city which could easily be part of the same project.

Fantastic pictures. Glad your camera has survived.
Have a great weekend.
Fantásticas!!
Oh no, even YOU got splashed? The waves should know better and have more respect for local bloggers.

@Dina: :-)))
One has to sacrifice for one's art, n'est pas? Beautiful captures of the force of nature!
Not a good day to use those benches. I love to see all that splashing......from a distance.
Wonderful shots! Hope your lens survived!
Wonderful shots, and I think that you got a bit spashed!
It reminds me that the walkway on the lakeshore in Chicago was on the news today for the same unexpected wave action!

Wow! Are those people brave or foolish? I would not want to be that close.
Very cool but I would not be one to stand in the way. MB

Exciting and dangerous - you could be swept out to sea! I hope your camera is all right.
Oh, wonderful photos!

O mar tem uma força estupenda, gosto muito do som das ondas quando arrebentam, e dos respingos dágua que dançam no ar.
Wow! beautiful images..
Good grief! Be careful out there!
Amazing pictures though.
These are terrific and dramatic photos, JM.
What an artist must do for his art. Great shots!
With the weather that wild you would not have caught me anywhere close enough to get splashed like that ... but thanks for the great shots.
Fantastic pictures. It would be very nice to be there.
I was once one of the Greek island almost identical breakers, but this is really awesome.
Hugs.
Well, I am pleased to note that your camera did its job. Terrific!!
Hope you and your camera have dried out by now. Wonderful trio of shots.
Ai que medo! Deu um friozinho na barriga só de ver as fotos!
