Really colourful photos...love the top snap of the lovely young woman. The world could use lots more Friendship celebrations.

Konnichiwa! Genki desuka? Fun to learn about the Japanese connection. I taught English in a Japanese high school in Gero, Japan from 1989 - 1991!

It's outrageous that banks can do what they want!

Love the pics - so full of joy and colour.

Beautiful pictures of a fine event. I knew the Portuguese were in Japan very early. Nice to see a relationship of sorts continues.

You've got the same financial problems we do! It's amazing that the banks here continue to do business as usual with huge bonuses for the damn criminals that screwed up the world.

I was reading about home ownership in Spain this morning. What a mess! Something needs to be done in Europe and in the U.S. But I'm afraid there is so much money involved and so much corruption that it will be difficult, at best!

I signed the petition. What the heck, we're in the same boat and there was a place to put in the U.S.

Cute shots of the Japanese girl. I feel bad for all those who are affected by the European financial troubles. :( Hope things get better.

That top shot is so warm and joyful. But your outrage in the statement about the bailout is palpable...justifiably so. We are watching each other, the U.S. and the E.U., going through such terrible birth pangs. I do hope something new, something more decent is the result in the end, but I have serious doubts.

The costumes are a rather odd mix of old and new aren't they.

Nice pictures that make me want to be there.
The Portuguese arrived in Japan in 1543?? What took you so long? Just kidding. That's amazing.
