Nice photo. And I do hope that the lady will have many customers.

You say incredible so I am assuming it is unusual to see people selling produce on the side of the road like this.

Nice capture, JM.

This woman doesn't look particularly spry so I wonder how she got all her merchandise together at that spot? It looks like a hard life to me.

@Joan Elizabeth: Yes, you are right, this shot seems to have been taken in the far countryside.

I had the same thought at Kate. I'm hoping that someone else sets up the fruit and vegetables and she just acts as cashier. Either way, it almost brings a tear to the eye.

What a complex shot, well done. An incredible range of colors and textures. It's sad that someone her age needs to do this, but it appears that she's lead a long life, so maybe it's not so bad.

@Kate and Sharon: I'm sure she's not alone in this business, someone had to drive her (and the boxes!) here, but I will ask her if I see her again.

I can imagine that Grandmother agreed to sit under the shade tree and take the money for the produce. I think she has a lot of help with this. And she can feel useful, contributing something to the family endeavors. Wish I could meet her.

That looks like a lot of work for a woman of Maria's age! I hope her grandson is helping her! Did you buy some peaches from her?

I was wondering the same as some others; how did she get all that variety of fruit and vegetables there? I like to imagine she is from a lovely farm in the countryside. Love all the warm tones. An extremely rich image!

A fantastic image... I would love to buy some of her produce..
Ireally don't like all the pre-packed washed and all the same size stuff.

Very enterprising. I wonder if she grows these fruits and veggies or she buys them from a farmer? She looks industrious and as though she's doing some sewing in between customers! Super photo!

An incredibly tight and congested street corner, however I suspect she is located in just the right spot to get loads of potential custom.

A lovely shot of someones daily life

A wonderful shot! She probably enjoys talking to all her customers. Hope she does have a lot of help.

Amazing shot. We see nothing like that in Sydney.

I hope someone helps her set up the store and cart the boxes at the end of the day.

Lovely orangy autumn color.

This is just a wonderful shot JM! You truly made wonders of bringing a single photo yet loading it with a thousands of emotions with a story! I was truly touched to see the old lady in this photo! If I was there I would have bought a lot of fruits and eat them at that same spot while chatting with her. Hope you post again about the lady!

Now that's what I call a real road-side stall. Wonderful colourful reflections on the pavement and a wonderful older lady. I wonder what she is working at. a great shot!

I love this!!! I recently posted a market picture from here, but yours is so much more picturesque -- and the lady, the vendor, is just a remarkable study. Lovely post.
