Church Of The Incarnation

Like most of the buildings in Lisbon, the church was completely destroyed after the 1755 Great Earthquake. It was rebuilt in 1784.

A arquitetura é fantástica, quantos detalhes!!!
Fico feliz em saber que naquela época tiveram o cuidado e a precoupação de reconstrui-la. ;-)

It has bee rebuilt beautifully and fits my mood perfectlu after returning from my beloved sister's funeral. It has been a harrowing few weeks and is the reason I disappeared from blogging for a while.

An elegant structure and your photo is superb...great light and color!

Some Catholic churches here are going backward - pre Vatican Council...Latin masses, even!

Just beautiful. I've heard you mention the earthquake several times on your blog, I don't think I realized the magnitude of it, it really destroyed a lot of buildings!

Not sure if it is the lighting or the colour scheme that works so well, either way it blends so beautifully.

Que bien esta retratada esta iglesia llena de detalles, sin lugar a dudas Lisboa es un sitio preferido para mi, y me llama tambien la relación cordial con los portugueses.
Un saludo.
