The house next to the castle is one that I could live in...leave the castle to royalties. The house looks more livable!

Great combo of housing options, JM! I'd be happy in any of them but does the castle have wi-fi?!
Happy Leap Day!

The people living here have a lot of history hanging over their heads.

You can have the castle but I would not mind living in this "house" in the shadow of the castle. I'd expect, however, that the expense would be above my budget. :-)

Lovely photo, JM - such great color against that blue, blue sky!

I wouldn't mind living near a castle. As long as it was pretty and there wasn't too much noise!

You have caught an excellent contrast and some gorgeous azulejos...

Oh, yes! When can I move in?? A gorgeous place, indeed, and a castle for a neighbor!!! Doesn't get any better!! Terrific capture, JM, as always!

If you can't live IN the castle, living NEXT to it is the next best thing!

(No doubt that siege in 1147 was horrific...)

Sabes que não vi o castelo, só depois que li o que tu escreveste. O que vi foi esta fachada com janelas no telhado, um charme. E a cor... me deu vontade de dormir em um destes quartos. Engraçado.

The castle may be grand, but I really love the building in the foreground!

Now that really is a spectacular backdrop JM, I think I would like to have a castle somewhere close to me.
