I love old barber shops, but I don't think we have any that old. Beautiful photos, JM!

There is a place similar to this very near my house and I've wanted to snap a photo like this for a long time. Good one!

Délicieusement rétro, avec un traitement noir et blanc très approprié !

Perfect scene for a black and white! Can imagine this barbershop is one one of those shops that one will expect to be there "forever."

Wonderful images... and it's wonderful to hear it's had such a long history.

nicely done in b/w. i don't see much of this anymore. all are unisex salons nowadays.

Unusual and elegant. These photos look really like original B&W. We see too many dull color photographs badly washed out in B&W, in search of an improbable personality they will never get. Bravo!

Nice post and history.

Wonderfully seen and captured. I love the combination of text and image. Black and white the perfect feel for this.

Gorgeous shots! They are both wonderful, and so nice in black and white! There is something about the mood you've captured that is very timeless, like the shop itself. I just love them. Bravo!

I like it JM, definitely has the 'traditional' feel to it, shown beautifully in B&W.

WONDERFUL !!!
I've often dreamed of taking pictures of the inside the old barber shop in my street, I've never dared. Perhaps it's a good idea to wait till it's dark...

Fabulous composition! The B&W represents the dated barber shop perfectly, and beautifully sets the mood of the photograph.
