Your plants and plant photography are so fine! In this case, they look a bit "sticky." These are not soft and cuddly plants, but best considered from a safe distance, right? :-)

Beautiful, JM! I have seen fewer of this kind of cactus in bloom, probably because beavertail is more common in the wild where I have visited. These are simply gorgeous!
