The building looks fine, bu the doors look very tired.

Lindos detalhes, é uma pena que a casa está abandonada assim!

Que magnífica porta!
Que pena deixarem coisas destas se degradarem!

The decay is sad enough, but the graffiti is the worst! I do hate to see it -- and it is everywhere these days! Would be nice if the building could be "rescued"! It's too beautiful to allow the decay to continue. You do capture the beauty and the decay so well, JM! Hope your week is going well!

I agree with Slyvia. Interesting shot with the worker in the foreground.

Another great one! The hooded figure could have been adding to the graffiti!

I had a walk through my small town today looking for subjects like this.
I discovered loads...

I'm beginning to wish I had oozes of money to restore all you've shown to its former splendour...

Greta capture, Jose. It reminds me of a description of Palermo I read once: "An exquisite corpse..."

PS: Taggers should be made to lick clean that graffiti...

So sad. The doorway looks like it was once quite grand!

I'm always surprised when someone tags a church. I hope the interior is better protected. What usually happens to "decommissioned" churches?

Wow, and it's such a great entry.

@Oakland DP: This is not a church. Actually, I haven't seen this building before but judging from the crown and coat of arms, some noble family lived here once.

So beautiful. It's a pity that it is so devastated.

This makes me so sad. Once glorious, obviously.

Niin kaunis ovi. Haluaisin nähdä sen luonnossa.
Lissabonissa on varmasti useita tällaisia ovia.

SUPERB building and door. Love the carved stone archway and the soft pink facade. Too bad about the graffiti.
