I love through-the-window photos, but the depth of field can be a challenge, although you have mastered it here.

I really like this one. I used to see circles everywhere when I was out hooting a few years ago, time to take up that sport again i think.

Great composition! The Tagus is the river that Columbus expedition sailed down, right?

We're on hiatus after today, JM. Don't know for how long. Have a great summer if we're not back before.

People say that you should try and frame a photo by using natures frames tree, fences Etc... you have thrown the book out the window by using this window. Well done

Beautiful composition! So nicely done. Are these still the German ships you shot a few months back?

@Dina: It's the Tagus estuary.

@Lowell: Portuguese King John II refused to sponsor Columbus journey so he went to Queen Isabella I of Castile and Leon (Spain) and did it four times to the Americas always departing from Spain. However, Columbus is connected to River Tagus after a secret meeting with the Portuguese king, to whom, according to some history experts, he was spying to. The goal was keeping the Spanish busy with the Americas, while the Portuguese were travelling east, as they actually did until they reach Japan. This might be one of the most fascinating periods in European history and many books were written about it.

@Kay: Yes they are. Great memory! :-)
