Such a wonderful image this makes. It looks like a pivotal scene from a movie.

A veritable painting . . . gentle colours and the white off-set by the orchids. A real conversation piece.

She looks like she is dressed for an elegant occasion.

Terrific capture as always, JM! You do get great "people" shots. Superb composition, makes you want to write a story to go with the scene! Enjoy your evening!

The lady seems so taken... I like the pose, the dress and the composition.

What a wonderful capture. She goes so nicely with the orchid.

beautiful how her dress matches the blooms. :)

A black lady in white...quite stunning. A beautiful portrait but much more than that. The accouterments -- the purse, the desk, the flowers, the bamboo, the books...all add so much interest. This would be worthy of showing in a gallery!

Someone just hit me about your new profile pic...I can't remember how to spell the place where you took this but we have a friend who's in her mid-70s who visited there about a year ago and climbed up the entire way. Quite an experience. She's a runner, though, and did some training before she left for Peru.

You definitely caught something here, JM. Everything put together in a pensive mood ... I too could see this shot in a gallery ...

This is an outstanding shot - the effect is like a still life, yet with a person, making it all the more interesting. It's very peaceful. Well done!

Your profile shot is Machu Picchu, isn't it?

Shaun said...

it always makes you wonder "hmmm, what is she reading"
Excellent capture

I like the new header on your blog. She looks very interested in whatever is on that table. The white dress looks good on her too.

Lovely picture. It's got such a variety of subject matter in a small space but doesn't feel crowded.

That's lovely.
