Cute gimmick. But he should get a bigger dog so he could get a bigger tip jar!

What a great shot. I love that little dog holding the jar but, I have to agree with Kathy. He might have more success with a bigger jar (and dog).

What a cute dog to hold the tip jar! Great shot.

The music may be from Eastern Europe, but the dog looks like it is from Mexico.

What a fabulous capture - love the dog :-).

Oh, this is fantastic! But what a way to make a living! I wonder if the dog gets a cut of everything taken in? Really cute!

Re your comment on Stone Creek: Herb is a very nice guy and yes, I'd prefer his job over any kind of call center! He doesn't make much - and it's just part-time - but he does get free golf!

What a terrific shot, JM! I love the tile work -- makes a great backdrop, the expression on the little dogs face is priceless and the young musician -- perfect! Enjoy your evening!

Por Itália e Espanha vi muitos músicos na rua. Tenho vontade de fazer um post sobre isso, mas ainda não o fiz. Aqui no Brasil quando há músicos são de outros países da América do Sul.

@Joo: I don't know which eastern european country he is from, but I guess he might me a gipsy. Opposite to men, women are easily identified for their long skirts and scarf covered heads.

Perfect shot! I wonder what his instrument is - it doesn't look like any accordion I've seen (not that I've studied them). Perhaps it's missing a cover where the strings are. The dog looks bored. The tiny cup says "low expectations" to me.

Not exactly my kind of entertainment...

And a dog from the Americas! :)

What a stunning portrait of this musician and his little dog. The expression you caught on his face is wonderful. The lighting is perfect. genie

Adorable! I would put money in there.

He looks like he could be North African. It is a variation on a theme seen throughout much of the world. Quite a beautiful instrument. What is it the dog seems to be holding in its mouth?

I love his cute little companion.

The little dog probably doubles his takings.

Excellent shot JM, not sure if that little dog is keen on the music, he has big ears and a pained expression like he's thinking 'tone it down a bit man!' haha!

A nice close shot!
They are here too.
(Probably wormer where you are.)

The guy is so cute and has such a far away look and is probably very talented, but his little companion steals the show!
