What an beautiful chapel you have here.

Lovely! It's photos such as these, and my recent vacation there, that make me believe that Portugal is such an under-rated vacation destination. I have many students of Portuguese descent, and I wish they would brag and talk more of their ancestors' accomplishments.

Wow, another gorgeous building. Such ornate details, I love it.

Now that beautiful chapel does indeed have a "Heavenly" ceiling! Beautiful captures as always, JM.

Thanks for your visit and comments yesterday and, yes, I did read about how much ammunition that guy had in his apartment. Don't blame the movies, the guy is old enough to have to take responsibility for his own actions. We all have hurts and disappointments in our life, but most of us don't use actions like these as a problem solver.
Hope your week is off to a good start!

So gorgeous. Thank you for the comment on the Zanzibar Slave Market - I googled the monument. Wow - breathtaking and so powerful. Appreciate the education.

Magnifique! Love that blue ceiling and the way the Lady and the dove are breaking through the sky to bring their gifts to humanity!

Re your question on ... Yes, in comic form! :-)

Both are quite lovely. You never see fantastic work like this in new buildings. Diane

Great indoor shots! I love how you can really sense the bas relief on the ceiling of the top shot. That is an extremely unusual treatment. I've never seen that before.

The color adds to the peaceful feeling of the place.

Bleu céleste... quoi de mieux pour une voûte d'église?

Looks like a wedgewood plate. I guess they copied the style.
