Looks like there's going to be some serious and colorful windsurfing.

The mountains make for a dramatic shoreline! Nice colors on the sail and board.

Lovely waves rolling in, did you go out windsurfing?

Hood River in Oregon is a hotbed for this kind of fun.

Believe it or not, I used to windsurf when I was younger! I'd be afraid to try it now though.

This looks like a beautiful beach on a gorgeous day. I am surprised there are not more people out. It must be early or late in the day, judging from the long shadows. The position of the sun to the left makes be think it is late in the day and you are facing north.

@Arija: No, I'd rather watch them. :-)

@Dave: You are right, I took this shot around 8pm yesterday.

What an incredible vista in the background JM, love the composition of this image, can't believe you took it at 8pm..it's all dark and cold here at that time..well I guess it is winter.

A gorgeous panorama. The entire Sintra area is beautiful. Love that beach. I've not done any windsurfing, have you? It looks like fun, though. I'd probably give it a try if I was younger.

Re your comment about the goat: That's our daughter's place in south Florida. She has a bunch of goats. The darn things eat the weeds but not the grass. It's crazy but I saw it with my own eyes!

Looks like a nice day to be on the water. Hope they have some wind. :)

Beautiful beach and a great capture for the day. I love the mountains and beautiful skies! The windsurfers look like the ones who fill our beaches, too! Enjoy your weekend, JM!

When the surf is on, you just have to go, dude! It's karma.

A sport enjoyed around the world - how cool! Gorgeous spot!

Wonderful location! I guess they are done for the day.

This is popular - I've seen it here (the fellow was airborn more than he was surfing), on San Francisco Bay, and Hawaii. As much as I enjoy the water, I've never been envious of windsurfers.
