Lots of homeless people in my neighborhood, too. I have shyed away from photographing them. Looks like this guy had no idea he was being "captured" Pretty busy place to stretch out like that.

This is a sad but familiar sight in most cities. Mumbai has about 1.5 million people living on the streets.

Far too many people like this all over the world.

He's really out in the open! Sad. There seem to be more and more homeless people and I don't think the situation is improving very rapidly.

I feel uneasy taking pictures of these guys, but maybe I never happened on a good image like this.

There are more and more homeless people all over Seattle these days and unfortunately a lot more violence as well! A sad statement about our world today! Great shot as always, JM!

This photo is full of irony. Beautiful, opulent building, the bustle of the buses, and a clean, bright city.

So sad that people end up in this state and so many of them, no matter how they try, do not seem to be able to get a normal life back. Have a good week, Diane

Incredibly moving capture.

Could be a different tale if you took the same shot with snow falling, or simply on a freezing December night!

Intresting capture though

The contrast between the elegance of the building and plaza and the hopelessness of the man is heart-rending.

Here many of the homeless have mental conditions. In the past they were housed in institutions but the institusions were deemed inhumane. I don't know if that was so.

Homeless or just taking a rest?
