You have these lights shows every so often, right? The top photo looks kinda eerie to me but the 2nd one has a whimsical feeling that I like. Is there a purpose to them other than entertainment?

I saw a light show like this in Ottawa. It was fantastic! Unfortunately, my photos didn't come out as well as yours. :)
