Ah, I feel like I can breathe now. Temperatures are set to soar here, 35° from Friday all through next week. I'm about to emigrate to Greenland.

I assume August is meant to be super hot for you ... just like ours is meant to be cold and windy.

That would make such a nice walk along the promenade! We're still hot here in Florida - will be til the middle of October!

Raining in August is unusual? Time to play on the beach.

Cooler weather in August? Who's complaining?

Strange view... Greenland seems a good idea now!

It must feel great. We actually had some rain last night and lots of wind. They said on the news this morning that temperatures should start to drop. Good news!

Great shot, beautiful beach even at low tide! We're getting heat here in Seattle and after having such a cool summer, everyone is whining about the heat -- including me, of course! But our blue skies are lovely! Enjoy the cool!

We've been getting too much rain lately, but that is August here in Tallahassee. Unfortunately the temperatures are not dropping!

It's heating up here, too, on the Olympic Peninsula but it's only supposed to last a few days. That's how we get summer here, a day or two at a time. I'm not complaining.

This looks like a wonderful premenade, though the rocky shore doesn't look terribly inviting.

Such a beautiful promenade. I never tire of looking at it!

You weather sounds like ours...in the afternoon. We get up to about 90-95 F and then cool air comes from the Gulf of Mexico, meets the warm air, and boom, boom - thunderstorms. They're often quite scary and occasionally contain tornadoes but they do cool things down until the following day! :-)

It looks like this coastline has been hammered by the ocean over the centuries.

Good thing you got some rain. Lets hope it continues. Nice shot.

We don't have tides in the Mississippi but the shores have looked like this all summer. I can see the high water mark in the sand - quite a rise.

This reminds me a bit of the view you get from the ramparts onto the beach of Saint Malo. It has the highest tides in Europe (or at least one of the highest). Really nice view here, even without that much water. :)
