Back street at Belém, Lisbon
I have no idea who the author is, but I think it's a clever work: as seen from a distance you can clearly see a duck with its head backwards

funny duck , nice artwork ;)
This certainly makes the "decay" a little more exciting!
It 's clever JM, I always admire the patience it must take to create a piece like this, all those little mosaic tiles!
Wow, Wow, Wow! That is beyond fabulous. Clever, intriguing, great piece of art!
Yes it is a duck, and it's very clever!
This really is very clever indeed. It amazes me how someone could take all those tiles of different colors and patterns and make it into something so completely different.
very cool! muscovy duck, i believe.
This is really terrific, JM!! And clever indeed! Halcyon is right, it does improve the "decay"! Great shots for the day!! Have a good week!
Interesting.
Looks like a turkey to me! :) Gobble gobble!

I love it!
Honor to the guy: this is amazing! The most original mural I have seen recently!
This is simply brilliant!
I know that the Portuguese are noted for their tile work, but this is something special! And on that wall. It's actually quite dramatic.
Are you sure it's a duck, though? Could it be a chicken with a twisted head? Or maybe a turkey with a soon-to-be missing head?
I'm sorry I'm such a quack!
The play of light and shadow to create an image is fascinating. There are old quilt patterns that use the same principle. Knowing each piece is an individually made tile adds to the complexity and links with an old tradition. That this modern piece is on a very old wall also connects past to present. The mural really invites study. Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.
Amazing, I actually saw the duck before I even read you bit at the bottom. Great work of art. Diane
It reminds me of a few wall quilts I have seen lately. Well done!
An excellent piece of art in my opinion. May time and life please treat it kind.
Please have a good Tuesday.

That is great, JM.
I thought it was a turkey.
Very clever indeed!
Ha ha. very clever indeed.
Would make a great patchwork quilt.
Very clever and pretty, pity it´s probably in some back street and doesn´t get seen by many.
That is awesome a pixilated 8 bit duck. WOW !!!
I thought it was a chicken, but in either case, I like it.
