That's the best kind of pulpit. It's very hard for someone to get up there and sermonize, and if perchance he or she does get up there, it's very hard to get down without breaking something. Perhaps this idea could be forwarded to the U.S.
Oh, yes, Lowell and I are in complete agreement -- as usual! Have to check out getting those in the US! The tile work is gorgeous as always and a wonderful capture as always, JM! Have a lovely weekend!

Their minds were obviously blank or they thought no one wanted to confess! Take care Diane
Looking again your right, it is a pulpit not a confessional. There minds were still blank. Diane

Very strange. Perhaps it is symbolic of something else? At least this way there's no homily to bore, inspire or enrage anyone.
I love Lowell's response. I'm all for the import.
I was going to say that only the truly "divine" can preach from there.

A ladder? I like Lowell's idea too.
I would say they were not thinking at all! :)
Love those tiles though.
I have no idea...
Didn't they supply the ladder? :-)
Funny, any ladder around?
The first step is a little tricky, otherwise ...
The tilework is amazing!
Hmmmmmmm? But I agree - love the tiles
I was thinking the same thing that Kate said. Nice tile work.
This is a good way to keep the sermons short.
Perhaps they thought no one would notice. . . .but a pulpit to the side of the pews? That seems an odd location, too. All in all, an oddity!
Beautiful mosaic tiles! I guess they were thinking that the pulpit doesn't need to be used?
This is so funny. Makes me smile.
ahahah , well spotted ;)
Olá José!
Está uma prendinha para ti no meu blog! Aqui!
Um beijo e feliz fim de semana****
ps: passarei mais tarde com mais tempo para admirar teu trabalho e comentar;o)
Tres bizarre.
Reminds me of our present war. Neither side knows how to "get down from their tree."
Fun post JM , enjoyed reading comments for this one haha !
Decorative? Conserving it like in a museum? It works for that.
