But it has a nice effect somehow.
I think some talented tile layer could clean that up a bit. I love these tile scenes.
Merecia uma boa restauraçao. Esses azulejos são maravilhosos, adoro os anjos delicados!Léia
still beautiful, though!
Decay, but with a hint of beauty. Lovely photo, JM.
I do hate to see these being left to decay!! They're so beautiful and different. They're one of the things I did so enjoy when I was in Portugal! Hope your week is going well!!
It must be quite an old piece for the glaze to have deteriorated that badly. Needs some TLC for sure!
That's just depressing. I can imagine how beautiful those tiles were in their original state!
incredible tile work.
Love these tile art, remember seeing them at a station at the border of Spain and Portugal many years ago...
Still possible to salvage...
Lord, I love these blue tiles. I'm amazed no one chips them off to reuse. A criminal mind at work...
So many lovely tiles in your country. You make me want to visit and see for myself. Perhaps I will come and do a train ride there one day.
Oh dear, I hope the city doesn't let this tile-mural get any worse than this.
Love the dreamy effect of the decay though.
Un véritable chef-d'oeuvre.Roger
This is really sad! Is that a bench?
@VP: Yes, it's a bench! :-)
Decay indeed, but so very pretty..it must have been so beautiful when it was first created JM.
As I say... lovely bleu of Libonne's catelles.
