Very lovely, bright colour and graphic scene! Classic blue and yellow. (That is lovely you sighted ducks nearby - I always think of them as a sign of Spring!:)
Having some Swedish ancestry, I find these colors to be especially nice and I like the way the door is constructed with those various rectangular panels. I also like the old doorbell. Don't see many like that around here!
So sad about the palm trees. But at least you know it's because of a beetle.
I don't know what the cause was, but we lost a bunch of palm trees in Florida some years back. Their branches turned yellow and then they died. I haven't heard much about that in recent times, tho.
It's wonderful but I can't help wondering if it jars with the neighbours. Or alternatively if everyone did bright doors like that whether it would just look tacky.

Cool !!
You are absolutely correct; it is a bright and beautiful door. Need a little more paint on the bottom to keep its sharp look, tho.
Providing a very cheerful welcome.
Certainly bright, like Monet's kitchen.
Great capture. I love blue doors!
This door has that welcoming look. I like the colors.
This looks like the colors of the Swedish flag. Maybe some Swedes live there.
very nice door :)
I LOVE this door. What pretty colors. They make a great combination.
wow! makes a great statement!
Bright and beautiful and it would make it easy to find the address!! Great shot, JM! Have a great weekend!

Love the contrast of the bright colors of the door with the quite plain wall...
A cheerful sight to greet you when coming home!
This is nicely done. All it's lacking are a pull and hinges like I've posted on my blog today.
Ha! In Versailles it would be solid blue, not with a lovely daffodil colour!
