It never ceases to amaze me how destructive certain element of the youthful population can be. They seem to have no respect at all for their surroundings.
Such a shame! I often wonder how and when they do it. Arranging the smearing, organizing the tools, getting there, making sure not being caught, the whole program. :-(
Beyond all that sad state of affair, I admire the ingenious way these plastic boulders (let's hope the are made from recycled material!) protect the young trees. I went downstairs to the bank next door moments ago and noticed the city has planting a new tree in front of our building. It's surrounded by a quaint fence, fashioned out of wooden fenceposts and wire.
Oh, it is SO sad to see this kind of vandalism in such a lovely place -- any place for that matter!! I keep asking, WHY??? what does this sort of thing accomplish or is it the only way some people can find to express their own frustrations or is is it simply having no respect for the world around them???

They should put them way for ever...
Greetings from The Netherlands,

I hate to see things like this. These benches are so colorful.
This is SO disappointing.
Tsk, a shame they were defaced.
The planter/benches are unusual and colorful. Too bad someone feels the need to mark them up. Too much of this going on.
that's a shame.
They should keep cleaning them off every day until the tagging stops!
What a pity that such colourful benches and tree protectors are destroyed in that way.

Such a shame about vandalism like this, but those colourful benches are amazing. I love how you composed this.
c est vraiment honteux...
some graffitis are pleasing to the eyes. but these kind are not. they take so much away from the beauty of the planters.
Just when my anger at the idiots who put pizza boxes with pizza remains in the recycling bin had subsided, I'm angry all over again!
What a shame, I see we share our fair quotes of idiots without respect for public areas. ... and I really like the benches!
I don't get it. Never will. Do people feel so valueless that they must mark up the world to make their place in it?
What a pity!
Such a pitty! It really is anice spot!
Yes, a world wide phenomena. However a welcome invitation for city authorities to clean them up.
Please have a good Tuesday.
Those are so fun, too bad they could not be left alone.
That is so sad, especially since those colorful planter benches are so cheery and ingenious.
Aargh! I'd like to take the perpetrators of this stuff, hold them down and use magic markers to cover their entire bodies with old Latin curses!
Such a shame JM, Would be good if they could catch them in action.
Que pena!Tão lindos bancos, adoro as cores, e o lugar tem uma vista maravilhosa!

If people would use they energy for positive matter... Le monde tournerait mieux, pas vrais !?
