I'm wondering how a shop specializing in gloves can make a living...It looks very attractive, but do people wear gloves in Lisbon? They must. The only glove I wear is a golf glove but I'll bet Uilsses doesn't carry those! :)
Was lucky enough to spend a fantastic week in Lisboa last September with a lovely lady who was enthralled with this shop. But whenever we ventured out to sample its wares, the queue was halfway across the road and because of the very small size of the shop, one customer, or set of customers, were allowed in at a time. But being persistant, we persevered and she brought back a treasured trophy.
How strange to see in a warm climate like yours.Obviously it survives but it's been the better part of a century since men wore gloves when dressed up. I suppose women's white cotton gloves made it into the 60's.

What a beautiful place!
I like the associations the name evokes.
A glove shop. How interesting. I think such a shop would go broke around here.
Lovely shop entrance.
Beautiful display, beautiful doors, beautiful trim, I'd be drawn to go it.
The best leather wares are to be found in Portugal. I am all for a well made glove or two, in fact, I have quite a collection.
awww AMO portas e essa é super especial! Lindissima!

cool display!
The lighting does it for me in your perfectly balanced image.
Almost failed to recognise it without the queue out front waiting their turn to sqeeze in one at a time.
What a creative display of gloves, JM!! I would love to do some shopping there!! Hope your week is going well!
It''s a good shot. Fantásticas luces.

A rare and precious kind of shop!
What a beautiful shop! I think glove shops vanished here a long time ago. Too bad. What you can find is barely worth the search.
@Hal: ???

You have an elegant glove store. I don't even know of any glove stores, elegant or not.
What a beautiful entrance.

Amazing the shop has continued to exist since the art nouveau era.
@Hal: Thank you for your answer. I was very surprised with you first comment as I don't remember seeing a queue there ever, not even in winter. :-)
There's no sign of decay here JM :)
Preciosa foto!
Una tienda como las de antes...que recuerdos más buenos me has traido.
Un beso.
Very good composition, congratulations.
