There were several of what we called "Queen of the Night" cacti in my mother's garden, some decades old. We would watch in awe when the blossoms unfolded.

I love the way you get such great exposure which gives you such detail in these night shots! It's so easy to blow out all the highlights. I wouldn't normally use the word, "impeccable," relative to photography, but these are impeccable.

That's exquisite and original. Nobody shoots flowers in the dark. It gives the subject an alien feeling.
