Monserrate Palace at the Sintra Mountain Range

It seems summer has finally arrived, 30ºC+ are expected the next 10 days (and a fire has already taken place in a nearby natural reserve!...)

Gorgeous architecture!

Summer has finally arrived here too. It was around 33c yesterday with full humidity. But I like that better than the cold, so I won't complain.

Summer seems to bring its own set of problems around the world - fires in the U.S. and now Sintra, floods in Germany and Canada...

This is an amazing building; glorious architecture! From the photos I've seen Sintra is a very lush and beautiful place.

Wear cool clothes! It's in the 90s here most every day now.

This place is simply gorgeous. I'd love to explore around here.
I just got back from Chicago and when I lived there for over 2 years, I don't ever remember it being as warm as it was this last weekend. I see from the weather app on your side bar that it's 32c right now. That is getting up there.

The palace is beautiful JM, would be wonderful to see it for real. Sorry to hear about the fires, I know only too well that they can have drastic consequences.

Gorgeous architecture and shot!
Here we had winter today with snow until 1,400 meters.

What an impressive building. We were evacuated from our house because of a wildfire, it burned over 500 houses very close to us.

A little too fancy for me, but nice.

A bit over the top, but in a merry sort of way - the whole scene oozes summer, though. Love how you captured it, with that "rebel" palm tree.

I love the detail of this building. I hope that some of the young people are learning how to preserve some of these treasures.

Nice little summer house. We are having a fine summer, without any fires.

I'm really sorry to hear, that there already had been a fire in the natural reserve!
