Favourite grocery shop at Lapa neighbourhood, Lisbon
It's amazing what you can find here, I guess many of the goods are not for sale anywhere else in Lisbon, maybe just in the countryside. The room in the background is used for exhibitions, performances and so on.

I will put this high up on my list..... of places I want to visit.
FANTASTIC PLACE!
I think it would probably be my fav grocery shop as well JM, there is one similar here that is :)
I would have fun just walking slowly around the place, looking at the treasures behind glass.
Exploring that store would be a real treat, and probably expensive, too!
What a great place to shop at. Lucky you, we hardly have a sop like that anymore, they went out with the mushrooming of supermarkets.
what a simply gorgeous looking store!
Oh yes, this is my kind of place for sure.
What a wonderful shop.
What a gorgeous shop, you do find the most amazing things in Lisbon JM!!
Amazing store: his place looks like something from another century!
I'd love to pop in and take a look around. I'm sure I wouldn't understand what anything is, but it looks interesting. :)
i love their cupboards!
Looks like a charming place!
Every time I see a place like this I curse supermarkets...
This reminds me a lot of some stores in rural areas of this country. Many years ago, my uncle owned one in Kansas - in a little town at a crossroads. He sold just about everything under the sun.
I would love this place and could doubtless spend hours checking all that it offers!
Ooooo, lovely! I could spend hours there!
This is wonderful, that those kind of stores still exist! What treasures there can be found!
This is a charming store. It looks like it is from another century.
Looks like a wonderful place full of wonderful goodies.
I can imagine coming away with the ingredients for some memorable meals. It looks like a perfect and perfectly dangerous place!
Is that your skateboard propped in the lower corner of the last shot, JM?
What a pretty grocery!
That really is a gorgeous shop. How lovely - and such a nice contrast to the big chain supermarkets of today.

There is a richness in the wood and the whole look of the place. Lovely photos - I wouldn't mind browsing around there :).
I love these "old" shops!
Wow, what a great feeling. I very like such small shops. Simly beautiful!! Greetings
I love shops like this, rarely buy anything in them though ... too expensive.
