I see the crane but my eye was attracted to the little red house squished between the buildings.

My eyes were drawn to the little red house, just like Andy's. ;-) So true, cranes are ubiquitous this time of the year (one hopes they signal some economic recovery). I even managed to have pieces of cranes in my pictures during a photo shoot in the Alps. ;-)

Ain't that the truth! And they never fly away!

Saw Lisbon featured on HGTV last night. Very interesting. It was about a couple where the guy had received a one-year contract to coach soccer in Lisbon; I think they were moving from California. They loved Lisbon!

You'd see a lot more of them if you were in Toronto! :)

Wow Andy is right that little red house looks so inviting. Right now we are going through a building boom, there are cranes everywhere in my town.

How true about the cranes everywhere!! But that big palm tree caught my attention -- beautiful! Terrific capture as always, JM! Have a wonderful weekend!

You are absolutely right! At least one, but even more... everywhere!

Isn't that the truth? The worst is when you've traveled somewhere and want to get a few shots of a famous landmark only to find it covered with scaffolding. That happened to me one year with Big Ben.

Halcyon is right - it is hard to take a pic in Toronto without catching a crane! Cool shot showing the layering of the buildings.

Indeed, always a crane. Lovely capture and beautifully coloured buildings.

Cranes are good. Cranes = economic activity = money flowing = people working = people happy.

What would be a city without cranes?
A ruin within a few years?
Well, they are not aesthetically pleasing, but if you like, there is Photoshop... ;-)

Os meus olhos foram para o lado direito: A Casa dos Bicos onde está a Fundação Saramago.

Maybe the crane is the only way to know from what century your picture is.

What is positive about them is that normally it means some economic activity thus jobs... So I kinda like them! :)
God bless you!
