International Handicfraft Fair at Parque das Nações, Lisbon
Julia Cota doesn't look like an eccentric artist at all, she's a very nice humble woman from a village in northern Portugal. I wonder where she gets her inspiration from in order to create such 'hallucinated' figures. This is not kitsch, this is not naïf, this is just crazy and I love it! :-)

There are LOTS to love. I'm totally cativated by these pieces. Would love to see a photo of the artist, too.
What fun, what exuberance, what colour. One can never judge a person from the exterior they show to the world.
Such wild and crazy figures! I love them too. I especially like how colorful they are.
:) i like your description of her creations.
That's the best thing about inspiration, it different for everyone. These are really beautiful.
Amazing and delightful and I, too, love your description of them!! Hope your week is going well, JM!

All gems! Terrific colors and wonderful imagination to create them in the first place.

Un beso.
Love the colors and funky designs, but the figures' eyes creep me out. I'd be scared to have any in my bedroom.
Made me smile! Crazy is right. But I hope she sells a ton of them!
Me too JM, I can see several pieces here that I would be thrilled to have in my home..so fun!
Now those are fun.
Julia has her own style and muse. I respect her drive for artistic expression.
Such fun! And I'm glad you told us a little about the artist.
