Church of Our Lady of Nazaré
The building dates back to the late 16th century but many transformations took place over the centuries

By the way, love how there's a "No Photographing" sign in that last picture! hahaha!

Love Duncan's comment above:) You're a skilled and stealthy photog - a real pro! Gorgeous, architectural detail and beautiful quality of light outdoors that day!

You always do such an awesome job of your fabulously elaborate buildings.

I know if I was there I would find them over the top but I just love looking at them in your blog.

The inside of this church is spectacular. That sign indicates no photos. I wonder why.

Spectacular shots, gorgeous place. I'm struck by how very much it is encrusted with gold. This and other places of worship seem to know no bounds of lavish.

Wow they did not spare the expense here. Sorry I have not been visiting, very busy and our internet connection has been, and still is, on a serious go slow. It takes me up to 15 mins to load a post and then often it will not let me comment!! Have a good weekend Diane
