"Red Independent Heart"

Joana Vasconcelos' rotating installation made of twisted red plastic forks and knives at Ajuda National Palace, Lisbon. Click here for a closer look on another post.

By the way, the Portuguese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale is her creation. It's an old ferry she tiled which travelled from Lisbon to Venice. Check the photos by clicking here.

I will have a surgery this evening and, hopefully, I'll be back home tomorrow. However, if you don't see me around the next couple of days it's just because I'm in a baaaaaad mood! :-) Hope to see you soon.

The surgery will go fine; I feel some very good vibes about it!! Love the red art installation. Amazing what material creative artists use!

Good luck with the surgery! Good thoughts are coming your way from Phoenix Arizona.

You gotta have heart, even if it's made of plastic. The redness certainly livens up that room. Very interesting.

Didn't know about your surgery. We'll be thinking of you and wish you all the best!

I saw the ferry in Venice, but didn't know it was a work of my 'friend' Joana. It was different and eye-catching, exactly like this work!

Hope it's nothing serious (probably not if you're going to be in a bad mood tomorrow!)
It's nice to see the travelling heart...
