There is a house I pass occasionally that has similar trees in front and they prune them back like this every year.

I love the way trees like this send out a ball of leaves in the Spring/summer ... assuming they are similar to the ones we have here.

Quite a contrast between the church and the trees.I'm struck by how, from a New World perspective, that church would be quite old, but from the European point of view, practically new.
