It's official, Blogger "dislikes" most of my photos!
I'm having problems uploading photos with the original quality. And I mean colours, sharpness, brightness, contrast... Very weird!
It all started after Christmas with one or another photo now and then, but it's getting a daily war with Blogger as I never know if the photo I want to post will show on my blog page as it really is - I have to keep uploading different photos until one is OK.
Crazy!
Crazy!
It's impossible to continue blogging like this. I'm taking a break and I'll see what happens when I come back.
See you all soon... I hope.
UPDATE
I didn't want a Google+ account but once it was created, I followed the instructions on the comments of this post and I think the problem is already solved.
Thank you so much to all of you, you've made my day! :-)

oh no jm! how frustrating! i hope it resolves itself soon :(
Hope it sorts itself out. I haven't had a problem posting photos at all, but I have heard other bloggers had problems with Blogger recently. Enjoy your break!
So frustrating. If your photos are stored on Picasa/Google albums they may have automatically been "enhanced". You can turn this off by going to the photo album and deselecting this. I think there is an overall setting, but I know it can be done for a single photo. Yes, this happens without you telling it to do so. Mine finally stopped and the setting has remained off for quite a while now. Good luck. I enjoy your posts very much.
I was having the same problem and it started right about the same time. A fellow blogger who lives in London told me that it was one of the new settings in Google Plus. If you sign in to your Google Plus account and then go to settings, toward the bottom of the Photo and Videos section there is an option for "Auto Enhance". Turn that off and see if that helps. It worked for me. Good luck.
P.S. I've noticed all kinds of new quirky things happening with blogger lately. It makes you wonder what is going on.
Are you uploading your pics with google? They like to "auto enhance" them without asking first. This can be changed by going into "settings" on your account, scroll down to "Photos and Videos" and unclick "Auto Enhance". Good luck!

There's a very easy solution. Open a flickr account, host the photos there and blog to this blog. I have done that without any problems for many years.
you need to go into the google+ settings menu and unclick 'auto enhance' and while you're there, unclick 'auto awesome' too (it adds slideshows or effects to your pics). they pushed these out without telling us and they have to be opted out in order to get back to your normal photos.
Hi JM, Blogger does not dislike your photos, Blogger loves your photos and plays with them...
I think we all have or have had this problem, the solution is very easy.
Go on Google+ and under "settings" disable the "automatic optimization" of your photos. Done.
Ah!! I do understand the frustration, been having the same problems for weeks now!! I'm going to try TexWis advice and see what happens!! Meantime, have a good break, look forward to seeing you back online, JM!!
I will miss seeing your wonderful photos. I hope the break is brief.
I have not experienced those problems with Blogger.
Another reason why I am really scared to sign on to Google+. But it looks like your worries are over thanks to your lovely blogging friends. See you back soon.
I have found blogger changing many of my shots, especially nighttime shots as well. I probably noticed it around the same time. Good luck and hope it's not too long a break!
Hope you don't have any more problems with uploading your photos to your blog. Your blogging friends have been helpful. Good on them! Would miss your marvellous photos if you gave up posting!
Google has been driving me nuts as well but not with colours. Just general placing of things on the blog etc. It gets more than frustrating at times. Hope you are not gone for long, will miss you. Have a good week. Diane
Oh forgot to say, I cancelled Google Plus because it stopped some of my followers from leaving comments!! Diane
I've been having an altogether different problem, some of my photos won't upload at all...
Hope you'll be back right away then! :-)
Big Brother watching over us, glad to read it is resolved.
Good that you fixed this. I had the same problems, and solved them with the same setting.
It seems you've had some good advice here.
I used to be able to post from Internet Explorer, but that became impossible. I write posts now from Chrome, and Blogger works very smoothly indeed.
Will miss you, JM. In the meantime, I'm going to preemptively click that auto-enhance thing.
I hope all turns out well again.
I'm waiting you and your lovely images.
Hugs
I hate Google with a passion and now word is out that your privacy is no more thanks to that company...for example, when they send their trucks around taking pictures they are also scooping up all the info on your phones and computers.
I'm about ready to cancel out of Google entirely, close all of my accounts and post only on my Weebly website.
Furthermore, I have even more Google+...that really gives Google everything they need about you to sell to the government or anyone else that wants your info.
Good luck!
I have not had any problems with blogger but I will keep the info up my sleeve for when it happens.
Hope you get the problems solved. I don't want a Google + account either. :S
I don't know if this has anything to do with your problems, but when I post to your blog it always opens up a second window with some crappy advertising (porn sites, etc). It never happens to me on anyone else's blog but yours. :(
I hope you will be back blogging again soon:)
I hope everything is ok...
hope to see you back soon !hope you enjoy your break :)
Missing my travels through your pictures - feel like I've not been anywhere for ages! Hope you are able to resolve the uploading problem. In the meantime I will resort to looking at my travels pics! I'm glad it was a technical problems and not anything amiss with you.
You are right, it is a mess!
My blog is on Blogger (Google) and my pictures are hosted on Picasa. I have had no problems so far.
It must be Google+ that is at the root of your troubles.
I am really grateful to those friends who warned me in time, I never joined Google+, thank heavens!
Good luck and glad to have you back,
Merisi
