Downtown Lisbon



Two highlights are shown above: the Santa Justa (iron) Elevator and the ruins of the Carmo Convent, currently a fantastic archaelogical museum.

I espeially love the first photo, where you can see the narrow street, it seems as if you can breathe more in this picture. And all the red roofs are nice too!

I was talking about travel today with a golfing partner and he told me about visiting Portugal and Spain last year. He loved Lisbon. I think I need to visit Lisbon up higher on my list of places I want to see. Maybe 2016 . . .

This is so alien to the American image of a downtown. I think we took that elevator for fun on our one visit to Lisbon so many years ago.
