Reminds of a huge brick wall I saw a few days ago - grass and weeds were growing through the mortar in numerous places!

Ha! Now I know we share a very similar climate. The same plant grows from beneath the streetlamp outside my house.

That looks like a plant we call Japanese Knot Weed and yes it does grow rather too vigourously for comfort in my wild garden, Looks like it might be a bit of an invader there too.
