The leaves are interesting as well as the flowers.
Zé, acho que é uma Bauhinia.Um abraço!
Whatever it is, it is very pretty!
@Serra: Acho que é mesmo. Obrigado! :-)@Joan: The leaves are damaged. I think it's because of the hailstorm a few months ago. Some of my tropical plants' older leaves show the same effects.
So beautiful !!Hugs
It looks very much like what I called the orchid tree that I used to have in my yard. Sadly it died a couple of years ago. This one is quite beautiful.I miss that tree and it's gorgeous flowers.
Gorgeous blooms Jose, ditto what Sharon said.. except about the part of having one :) but I do recognize it as an orchid tree.p.s. you'll have to change your title :)
I won't be of any help in this case...
It's a real beauty - the flowers do look like orchids!
Unidentified, but beautiful !
Beautiful indeed, Jose! I love the blooms! I knew about the orchid tree, but the is the first I've seen! Superb -- even with the damage from the hailstones! Greaqt capture as always!!
Por aqui a chamamos de Pata (ou unha) de vaca
I would never have known :-) but it is a delight! Does it smell as beautiful as it looks?
We had a bauhinia growing in our schoolyard. The hailstorm explains the unusual leaves.
Glad you have a name for it, the flower looks quite similar to an Azalea. Very beautiful. Diane
So beautiful. Do you think it would grow in Florida? If so, I'd try to get one. Or two. My backyard is waiting.
Beautiful blooms on that!
I don't know what the tree is, but it is lovely, as is your photograph.
Such pretty buds!
