Bugio Fortress/Lighthouse

... as seen from the Sea Promenade at Paço de Arcos.
The original building dated back to the late 16th century.

You've framed it beautifully.

Nice picture. I remember my husband saying in his younger days he and a few friends swam from the beach to the lighthouse, but were too tired to swim back!

Great photo. Just got home, we loved Portugal but there was a chilly wind blowing a lot of the time. One day in Porto was just not enough!! Diane

Love the view of this fabulous ancient structure from the rugged rocks.

That certainly is a different kind of lighthouse! The web view demonstrates the definite need for it.

Like the rocks. We have a similar scene here in Kuantan

Yeh I love rocks at the seaside ... but I guess that necessitates light houses.

What an outstanding photo, the quality you might see in National Geographic. You must have taken this from the air.
