Broken Concrete

Sea Promenade at Carcavelos
Tides always are very high close to the autumnal equinox but I don't remember seeing such damage this time of the year.

That looks a very dangerous place... only the rope prevents a fall.
Soon correctors to the scene !
Your sea is fantastic.

The sea can be so scary!

I've heard it said that the seas are rising and some folks in the south Pacific are already leaving their island homes for higher land.

The sea can be so beautiful and so destructive!

BTW, I was watching the Portugal Masters golf tournament today and wondered if that was anywhere near Lisbon.

It looks like prompt repairs are required. The power of nature, indeed.

Nature will always find a way.

@Lowell:
1- You must be referring to the poor people of Kiribati, the first country that it's literally getting flooded by the ocean (and no one gives a damn!).
2- Portugal Masters is taking place on the country's southern coast (Algarve).

Those are some amazing forces. The water is still inviting, beautiful views.

The sea can be beautiful but dangerous. Hope no one gets too close to the rope, it doesn't seem strong enough to stop anyone from falling over!

The color of your sea is so beautiful against the orange tones of the wet concrete. Unfortunately, it seems that walkway might soon have to be condemned. Another wake-up call. Average people the world over take climate change and our role in it very seriously, yet world leaders remain unmoved. What will it take?
