The interior of this 18th century building at downtown Lisbon has been torn down to give plave to a public elevator connecting downtown to the Castle Hill behind it.
very beautiful building with that blue 'faience'. I don't know if the interior was beautiful too. If it was so, then it's a shame that they torned it down. greetings

That is an unusual use for a building.
A beautiful facade but although it is good to see it preserved, I feel sad at the inside giving way to modern convenience.
Glad they kept the exterior Jose, nice touch!
hopefully they've kept the facade! :)
Beautiful tile work.
At least the facade is saved.
That seems like a very clever solution to preservation of the feeling of the neighborhood while adding needed modernization.
I'm trying to picture that!
At least they've kept the facade, it would be a crime if they hadn't!
