I do not like cactus at all, Jose. When I was a child I had to methodically walk the paddocks with a spray can eradicating prickly pear and tiger pear (both cactus here in Australia, but do not know their scientific names). Otherwise, the spikes would get into the wool of our sheep, and could eventually cause death by allowinf disease to enter their body.
I do have a small collection of succulents, though none so gorgeously in flower as this one.

It's like a red hot poker Jose.. Oh my look at the spikes alongside!
The vivid shades of red and green remind me of the holidays!
Ah i love these - we have them in Kings Park - very dramatic!
Grace took the words right out of my mouth. It does look like what we call red hot pokers here.
Oh, yes, a red hot poker indeed and so dramatic and beautiful! Superb capture as always, Jose! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!!!

I still have one of these, but I never got an inflorescence so beautiful and perfect like this one!
This red is so vivid! It's a pity it blooms only once a year...
It's gorgeous, JM!

So tropical looking!
I've never seen one before, thanks for sharing. It's really interesting, I'll see if that can grow around here.
That is amazing. Great color too.
What a fabulous flower!
We call these Red Hot Pokers. Nice because they flower in the winter to add a splash of colour to a dull winter garden.
Que bonitos colores. Preciosa foto, ya esta casi la primavera.
Un saludo

Nem parece de verdade de tão linda - a flor e o espinho!
Grande abraço,
Bia <°))))<
