Built in 1890, this palace, located at Santa Marta Cove (Cascais), was donated to the local authority in 1924, becoming the Municipal Museum.

The palace itself looks like a work of art. The bridge in the foreground is amazingly symmetrical and its focus is great for your photo.

I'm distracted by that beautiful stone bridge!

I'm a little late, but Happy New Year, JM! Wishing you peace, prosperity, health and happiness in 2009.

I will, Marc! The palace/museum really deserves some more shots, but I have to wait for a better light on a sunny day...

The bridge and the still water add such peace to the tower of the palace, JM. I am having trouble at the moment with so much cloud and the weather being continally overcast.

(If you wonder where the sun went, it's here with us. But you wouldn't appreciate the temperature, -13C at the moment.)

I'd say this shot works very well in grey weather.
